I personally think an underrated animal for rewilding is the British Primitve Goat. There are less than 1,200 individuals left in the uk and don’t tend to gather that much traction. However they have the ability to eat gorse and long grasses which are incredibly flammable. This animal however can only be found in a few sights, e.g. Isle of Wight, Valley of the rocks, the Cheviots, and dotted around Northern Scotland. They were also brought over in the neolithic period, making them more native than Brown hares, European Rabbits, and Fallow deer.
