Build your own lounge furniture from pallets
With pallets you can build and design many different garden seating furniture: Depending on the arrangement of the pallets, lounge furniture comes in different shapes and sizes.
If you are looking for a beginner project, a couch without armrests and with a low seat is very well advised. In this DIY variant, you need three pallets that are joined together without being cut: Two pallets are laid horizontally on top of each other and screwed together to form the seating surface for the lounge, the third pallet is screwed on vertically standing as a backrest.
Before you start building your garden furniture, sand the wood with a sander or sandpaper to get a smooth, even and splinter-free surface for your garden furniture. This feels better to the touch and is a good base for the paint application. Then pre-drill the holes. To ensure that the wood is drawn together without gaps by the screw, always pre-drill only wood that is fully penetrated by the screw. The best way to prevent the holes from fraying is to place an old piece of wood underneath. The pieces of wood are then joined together by diagonal screwing.
Raised beds from pallets
When building a DIY raised bed, there are also several variants, which differ in the composition of the pallets. The simplest variant is a vertical herb raised bed, which simply consists of one pallet.
For a larger raised bed, you connect four pallets together, unsawn, to form a large box. Additional space for herbs or small tools can be obtained by placing two pallets of this box with the base strips facing outwards. If you want a shelf on the raised bed, you can place four Douglas fir planks on the raised bed. A rodent grid on the walls and on the bottom will protect your raised bed from voles.
There are no limits to your design ideas, for example with color or decoration.

Tip: If you want the table to match your self-made lounge furniture in the garden, paint them in the same color to create a unity.
