Saving squash is a very easy fall garden thing to do. What better way to get yourself some free seeds for next season! The trick to saving squash is to let the plant go at the end of the season and allow the last couple squash fruits to grow nice and large. Then you can open them up and harvest the seeds. This will work for yellow summer squash, zucchini, pumpkins, and other cucurbits.
