The bark is silver-gray in color and the leaves are oval-shaped with a serrated edge. The tree can grow up to 60 feet tall and has a lifespan of about 180 years.
The Silver Birch tree’s leaves are very distinctive because they are a light, silvery-green color that resembles the color of paper. These leaves have a thick, leathery texture and they have an oblong shape with serrated edges. In the fall, these leaves turn yellowish-brown before falling off in the winter months.
In addition to having an amazing bark texture and beautiful leaves, the Silver Birch Tree also has amazing flowers that bloom from March through May in clusters of 3-6 flowers on each branch.
