2) With carbonated water


Carbonated drinks contain oxygen, hydrogen, sulfur and sodium. All these substances are important for plants and their development.

The roses started to dry out slightly and become slightly droopy. The water got a little cloudy as the days went by. Score using this method: 8/10.

3) Using water with ice added


The ice water removes the air bubbles that form at the stem. Without these air bubbles, the stems can better absorb the water.

The roses really dried out and took on a nice droopy look. The water stayed pretty clear though. Score using this method: 5/10.

4) With bleach


Bleach prevents the growth of bacteria and keeps the water clear and clean.

The roses have completely wilted and blackened. Some leaves have started to fall off in earnest. The water, on the other hand, remained quite clean. Score obtained with this method: 2/10.

5) With aspirin


It should be crushed before adding it to the water. In addition to containing calcium, which helps the plant to develop properly, aspirin effectively reduces the pH of the water in the vase.

The roses dried out after these few days and petals unfortunately started to fall off. On the other hand, the water remained clean. Score obtained with this method: 2/10.

6) With white wine
