Sounds like a great idea a small start but I do think the public mood to rewilding is becoming more positive.
The Bison is a large, shaggy-haired animal that is the largest mammal in Europe. It has been hunted to extinction in Britain.
Rewilding Britain advocates for the reintroduction of other animals such as bears, wolves, lynx and beavers into the British countryside. The aim of this project is to return the country to its wilder state by encouraging natural processes and wildlife populations – a process known as rewilding.
The reintroduction of European bison, also known as wisent, to the UK as part of rewilding efforts is a topic of debate and consideration. While there are arguments in favor of reintroducing bison, there are also significant challenges and concerns that need to be addressed:
